College dorms are typically pretty tiny. You have a dresser, a desk, a closet, and a bed. That’s usually it. The rest you have to bring for yourself. If you;re not sure how to go about this, check out my “College Packing Checklist” and my “What NOT To Bring To College” posts. You may find them helpful. But there are a few tips that I have learned about making that tiny space seem a little bit bigger.

The first tip is to bring stacked drawers. This helped me tremendously. You can keep so may different things in the drawers and you can put things on top of them. They are great for organizing and keeping things put away.

Another tip is to get an under bed storage bin. It fits perfectly under your bed and they usually have a pretty good amount of space.

Have your stuff already packed in your bins. Basically organize it while you are packing it. When putting things in drawers, make sure that is where they will stay when you get to school. This way you don’t have a bunch of unnecessary boxes and things around.

Keep your room clean. I know this doesn’t seem like much, but keeping things neat and tidy can make it seem so much bigger. Make sure you have a place for everything and if you don’t, leave it at home.

Slide your totes and storage items under the bed if you can. Make sure it’s neat. Only bring out what you need and then put it back.

Those are the tips that I have. Comment below some of yours because i know you guys have tried things that I haven’t. Be sure to like this and follow if you’re not already and I will see you next time.
