Hey guys! Welcome back. Since starting my blog a few months ago, I have noticed some profound changes. One is that I feel so much better. There is something very peaceful and beautiful about being able to write about anything and everything with no true judgement. There are so many things about writing that makes everything seem a lot less scary and intimidating.

One thing is that in writing you have complete control. You choose what you write about, how you write about, when you write, etc. Unless it’s your day-to-day job, there isn’t likely anyone telling you you have to. Which is why I think many of us choose to do this. Blogging is our way of being able to control something. It gives us power when we feel powerless.

Another reason writing is the best therapy is it allows you to express yourself when you can’t find the words or strength to say them out loud. In writing you can change your mind, you can erase, you can even start over. It’s all in your hands. It doesn’t matter if you say the wrong thing at first and then change it. Because no one will ever know.

Writing helps you sort through ideas and feelings. If something has happened to you, writing can help you understand it. Because seeing the words in front of you allows you to see them as they really are. And writing is a great way to develop and cultivate new ideas and thoughts.

Writing does a number of different things for a number of different people. But at the end of the day, it’s the same. Writing is a great skill to learn and develop. Great writers and thinkers are always needed.
