Hey guys! Welcome back. I’m so glad you are here. Today I wanted to give a few tips on how to relax and rest your mind. Because just like your body needs rest, your mind does too. In college especially we often neglect our minds in giving them a break. This does not mean I am saying skip all of your classes and responsibilities. What I’m saying is worrying and stressing can take a toll on your mental health and you want to avoid that at all costs. So here are a few tips on how to give your mind that much needed vacation.

Tip #1: Go outside.

This is the one I do most often. There’s just something so peaceful and lively about it. Being outside really takes my mind off of things and I can truly relax and unwind.

Tip #2: Find a cause.

One of the best way to forget about your struggles is to focus on someone else’s. Find an organization you are passionate about and volunteer or commit to helping in some way.

Tip #3: Music.

I kind of include this with being outside personally. But you can do whatever you feel comfortable with. When I am outside I am usually listening to music unless I’m in a hurry.

Tip #4: Pamper Yourself.

Like you needed a reason right? But really pampering yourself is a great way to relax. Do your nails, take a bath, get a really good face mask, and just relax.

Tip #5: Write.

Writing is the best therapy. I know that may sound cliche, but it’s true. Writing how you feel or even just expressing it through your writing can be really helpful.

Tip #6: Reading.

There is nothing quite like forgetting your struggles by getting lost in another world. If you aren’t a fan of reading watch something. Whatever helps you.

Tip #7: Art.

You don’t have to be great at it, but being creative and expressing yourself with colors and drawings and things can be great.
