Hey guys! Welcome back. This was requested a while back so I thought I would do it today. I want to go through each item and tell you the product and why I think it is perfect for people just starting out with makeup. I hope this is helpful and if you want to know what I recommend for makeup beginners just keep reading!

Eye Shadow: For eye shadow when I was starting out I used the L.A. Colors palettes. There are 12 shades and they are only a couple of dollars. They aren’t the best in terms of quality though, so if you have a couple more dollars spring for the Wet n’ Wild palettes. The one in Nude Awakening is especially perfect for beginners. I did a product review on this palette which I will link here. If you have enough money though and want to splurge on an eyeshadow palette I definitely recommend the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. It is $38, but you get 35 eye shadows and the quality is amazing. It also has the perfect shade range if you are just starting out with makeup and has a few pops of color to experiment.

Eyeliner: For liquid liner I highly recommend the L.A. Colors. It’s a brush tip, it lasts a really long time, and it’s only $1. It’s what I first started using. For pencil liner I recommend the Wet n’ Wild pencil liner. It’s only a couple of dollars and looks really good on the eyes. I also use the Wet n’ Wild felt tip liquid liner if you prefer that kind of applicator for liner.

Mascara: Mascara is kind of tricky. Mascara can be kind of expensive and finding one you like can take time. Wet n’ Wild has some good ones that are fairly inexpensive if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. If you have a little extra money though the Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara is excellent and one of my favorites. I also have a review on this that I will link here. Again, it may just be something you have to play around with until you find one that really works for you.

Foundation: When I first started with makeup I was using the Covergirl foundation for sensitive skin because it was the cheapest and the only thing I knew. But now I would recommend the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Foundation. It’s only $5 and is literally the best foundation I have ever tried.

Concealer: I use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. When I first started with makeup I didn’t use concealer because I didn’t know what it was or how to use it. But if you want concealer definitely go with this one. It is the best concealer I have tried.

Powder: For powder I use a wide range. The one I am using right now is the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder simply because I wanted to try a loose powder. But there are several good ones like the Covergirl pressed powder.

Bronzer: For bronzer I really only use the Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Bronzer in the shade Ticket To Brazil. It’s only a few dollars and lasts over a year! It’s a great shade for fair skin, but I know people with darker skin tones who also love it. It looks more natural and doesn’t make it look like you are wearing heavy makeup.

Blush: The drugstore has some really great blushes. I’ve never tried a blush I didn’t like. L.A. Colors has some great ones. Wet n’ Wild has some really great ones. But if you are looking for something when you are new to makeup up, I would highly recommend the E.L.F. blush palette in Light. It comes with four super pretty shades. They aren’t super pigmented so you don’t have to worry about using too much, but you can build them up.

Highlighter: For highlight I use the Wet n’ Wild Color Icon in Reserve Your Cabana. It’s the same price and size as the bronzer shade in Ticket to Brazil. It’s very natural, but you can build it up for a more intense highlight.

Lip: For lips I recommend the Wet n’ Wild Catsuit Liquid Lipsticks. They have several different shades so it’s super easy to find your perfect shades or grab a few. They range from super nude to super dark and their $5.

    1. Girl buy it. I promise you will not regret it. It has everything you need and considering the quality and the quantity of the eye shadows it is worth every cent you pay. I cannot say enough good things about this palette. I use it most every time I do my makeup. The only reason I don’t is because I have so many others and feel the need to use those some. But if you are considering buying this palette and have the money, I say buy it. You won’t need another eye shadow palette for a long time. It is amazing and worth it.

      1. Absolutely! I’m going to be doing a lot of makeup tutorials using this palette coming up (because there is so much you can do with this palette). So be sure to check those out. I posted one yesterday.
