Hey guys! Welcome back. As many of you know, a few days ago I posted that I am giveaways. One of them was a Q&A giveaway. The giveaway is still going on, but I am getting so many questions that I wanted to sit down and answer some of them today. You still have time to ask your questions before the giveaway ends on April 30th at 3:00 p.m. Be sure to ask your questions before then by commenting down below. I hope you enjoy these questions and answers!

How do you stay motivated with such a difficult and time-consuming major? Honestly, it is really difficult. Sometimes I’m not as motivated as I should be. But I think the most important thing is remembering the end goal and why I am here in the first place. Another thing that helps is knowing that I enjoy my major. It is super difficult sometimes, but there is never a time when I don’t enjoy what I’m working on. Also, making time for myself is a super big part of how I stay motivated. It keeps my from getting burned out and stressed.

What do you plan on doing after college? I graduate from college next year. After that I am going to Graduate School and then on to get my Doctorate. After that I plan to be a college history professor. I also plan to write a book and get it published after college.

Advice on choosing a major and finding something you love to do? My major is something that was a long time in the making. I changed my major so many times before deciding on History. Choosing a major is super difficult, but I think it is something that just kind of happens for some people. If you are struggling, shop around. Take classes in different areas until you find something you love.

How do you make friends in college? Making friends in college is a lot easier than most people think. It’s really just about finding people that click with you and you are comfortable around. The two biggest and best places to make friends is in class (because misery loves company) and joining a club.

What is your advice to upcoming freshmen who don’t have high confidence? The first thing I will say is that you’re not alone. Entering college for the first time is scary, but it’s completely okay. My advice is to try to bond with your roommate because chances are they are feeling similar. Also, don’t judge what you think college will be like based on your high school experiences. They are not linked at all. Give it a chance. Join a club or two and once you start making friends you will gain confidence I promise. Realize that you have a purpose and that you belong where you are for a reason.

Do you have a job in college? I do have a job. I work at the campus bookstore for now, but hope to move on from that next year. Next year I want to work at the Writing Center on campus because I feel like that is a better use of my skills.

Have you ever failed a class? I have not failed a class. There have been classes I have struggled in, but I’ve never actually failed a class.

What is your favorite thing about college? My favorite thing about college is the opportunities I have to grow as a person. I love the classes I get to take, the things I get to be a part of, and the people I have built relationships with.

Those are all the questions I have to answer for now. I will do another post like this next week once all the questions are submitted. Don’t forget to ask your questions in the comments so you can be entered into my giveaway. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
