Hey guys! Welcome back. I wanted to share my updated hair care routine with you and some tips on how I keep my hair healthy. When it comes to hair, I don’t mess around because trust me, I have a lot of it. I have thick, curly, frizzy, dry hair, which I believe to be a curse. However, I do have some tricks on managing my hair. Having a good routine and quality products that work for your hair can make all the difference when it comes to keeping it healthy and looking great.

Tips for healthy hair…

1.) Work with what you have. I am a firm believer in working with your God given hair. Whether you have a lot or barely any at all, it’s your hair. Find ways to enhance your natural hair that is flattering and not damaging. It took me a long time to embrace my naturally curly hair, but I am learning how to care for it and let it be.

2.) Don’t skip the haircuts. Getting your dead ends trimmed off is super important. It allows nutrients to stay in the fresh hair that isn’t dead. This will keep your hair healthy and strong. Who doesn’t want that?

3.) Take a break from the heat. Go natural when you can. I do straighten my hair, but now that it’s summer I haven’t been. It allows my hair to breathe and it saves it from all that damage and breaking that heat causes.

4.) Minimize the styling. The more you put your hair through, the more damage it causes. Keeping the styling to a minimum gives your hair a break. This also saves you time and energy that could be used to do other things.

5.) Invest in quality products and tools. It can take some time to find what works for you, but I highly recommend finding products and tools that are of higher quality. They re more likely to do the best for you hair and keep it healthy.

The Routine and Products…

When it comes to shampoo and conditioner, first identify what your hair needs. Is it dry or oily? Is it frizzy? Is it colored? You need products that address the needs of you hair. My hair is dry and frizzy, so I alternate between the Aussie Moist and the Love Beauty and Planet Anti-Frizz products.

When I get out of the shower I pat my hair dry with a towel (do not rub because that makes it more frizzy. Then I add in a leave-in conditioner. Typically it is the Love Beauty and Planet Anti-Frizz Leave-In Conditioner.

Then I comb through my hair and let it air dry. I don’t blow dry it because that only makes matters worse.

That about covers it. Super simple I know, but I don’t have time for a long hair care routine. Plus, all of these products get the job done, so why add more? Thank you so much for stopping by. Let me know what some of you favorite hair care products are below. I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did.
