Hey guys! Welcome back. These past few weeks have not been easy for me. I have been struggling the past couple of months with depression and just trying to keep my emotions together. It has been a huge struggle. So I wanted to an update on what has been going on and also since this is a college post day, I am going to share with you all the things I am doing to get ready to head back to school (i.e. packing and organizing). Which if we are being honest, I haven’t done much of.
I first wanted to start by saying that today is International Cat Day. Normally it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but it also marks the one month anniversary of the day I got my little Clementine. She has been such a blessing this past month, so a huge shout out to her and all the sweetness that came with her.
This is a great way to get into my discussion about my depression because I actually decided to get Clementine because I was so down and was just looking for a healthy way to get through and I needed to be able to nurture and care for something. She has played a huge role in my recovery these past few weeks. I have had set backs and struggled with sudden bursts of sadness and crying uncontrollably. However, I am also learning how to deal with those things and understand that it won’t last forever as long as I keep working to get better. This summer has been difficult and it recently got quite a bit harder, but I know that God is working within me to help me make it through.
As far as packing goes, I haven’t done a lot. I have been so busy doing other things and also doing absolutely nothing, that it just hasn’t been something I have worked on a ton. But I do have three whole days (I hope) so maybe I will get stuff done. I’m trying not to wait until Saturday to start, but we will see.
The same goes for organizing, although I do have a solid plan in that department. I just have to actually get started on it. I will soon, I promise. No one is perfect and I struggle sometimes to get going because it is such a process.
That’s all I have. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Be sure to check out my Back To School Series if you need any help.
