Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am going to share my morning routine for college. I think it is important to have one and also important to know you can make changes to your routine as necessary. Things happen, but I think it’s important to at least have a routine so you can schedule things and make time for the important things. I do have a morning routine and a night routine, but during the day it just depends on what I am doing that day. That’s where to-do lists and Google Calendar are really helpful. But my routines are pretty much the same all the time. So let’s start with the morning.

Turn off alarm/Get out of bed. The very first thing I do is turn off my alarm and get out of bed. I get up at 6:00 every morning just so I know I have plenty of time. I think it’s important to get up every day at the same time so your body will be used to it. Also, getting up early isn’t a bad thing if you go to sleep at a decent time.

Brush teeth/Wash face. I absolutely have to do this every morning. It helps me wake up and feel refreshed. I also feel like I have a clean slate when I have a clean face and my makeup looks better if I wash my face first.

Brush my hair. I usually don’t do a lot to my hair because if I do it gets really frizzy. So I will just comb it or brush it and put it up if I feel like it.

Makeup/Get Dressed. I do my makeup first just in case I get any on my clothes. I set my clothes out the night before so I don’t have to worry about it in the morning. For everyday I usually do a pretty simple makeup look unless I have something major going on that day.

Make bed. This is important to do everyday. Most productive people will tell you one of the first things you do in the morning is make your bed. Some people make their bed as soon as they get up, but I personally need to step away from my bed in order to wake up and really start my day.

Read my Bible. Bible time is so important to me. I need to start my day with God or nothing is right. I always pray too, but I pray a lot during the day as well. I do this in the morning because it really just motivates me and helps me start my day.

To-Do List. This is something I do in the morning because I look at my planner and calendar and I make a list of all the things I know I need to do. This helps me prioritize and focus during the day.

Breakfast. I usually have breakfast in the Dining Hall so I grab my stuff and head to breakfast. I don’t eat the same thing everyday, but I like to at least have something so I’m not hungry throughout the day.
