Hey guys! Welcome back. I wanted to write this post and I thought now would be a good time to do since it is Sunday evening. Setting yourself up for a good week starts on Sunday. I have nothing to with Sunday Scaries. I don’t let them get to me. I don’t freak out about the fact that tomorrow is Monday because I am already prepared. Today I want to help you prepare. So here are the things I do every Sunday night to prepare for the week ahead and feel ready to take on Monday.

Prepare For Monday.

The first thing I do is prepare for Monday. I look at everything I need to get done that week and I start with Monday. Monday is kind of a long day for me and it’s the beginning of the week. I use my Google Calendar to plan all the things I have going on and seeing what I need to get accomplished. I try to plan ahead as much as I can so I know exactly what time I have and what I need to do with that time.

Completely make my bed. 

By the end of the week, my bed has kind fallen apart. Not literally, but the sheets are coming off, the comforter is all jumbled up, and it just doesn’t look great. So I take everything off the bed and completely remake it. There is no better feeling that starting your week off with a freshly made bed. If you can afford to wash your sheets, go for it.

Clean my room.

I try to keep my room as clean as I can, but sometimes things happen and I don’t keep it as clean as I would like. So I spend some time on Sunday cleaning up. I wash any dishes, clean any surfaces, pick things up off the floor, and clean my desk. It’s always important that I keep things clean because nothing is worse than trying to study in a dirty and cluttered space.

Make time for self care.

For me this includes reading a book, doing my nails, or anything else I might want to do that is just for myself. I don’t work on anything that is for someone else. I try to relax and focus on just doing something for myself. With a busy week ahead, I want that time to kind of refresh and mentally prepare for a new week ahead.

Make a plan.

As I said before, I use my Google Calendar. I do my time-blocking on Sundays and then if I need to change anything during the week I can. But I think it’s better to plan as much as possible on Sunday night so I’m not trying to do it every night. It just helps me feel more confident when I have a plan and I know I am going to be using my time wisely.

Do the distracting items.

These are things that don’t pertain to studying or classes. During this time I do things like planning my blog posts for the week, planning other things, catching up on emails or sending emails I need to. Anything that is on my to-do list that isn’t related to studying or assignments. This way, I mark things off my list, but I have time during the week for studying or completing assignments and tasks.
