Does Your GPA Matter?

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I thought I would talk about GPA in college and what it means for the future. Ultimately it depends on your plans for the future. If you plan on furthering your education at some point, then just like in high school, it does matter. However, the last two years of your undergraduate education is what most graduate admissions counselors look at. So if you struggled your Freshman year, it’s not that much of an issue.

If your GPA is a respectable number it can’t hurt to put it on your resume when applying for jobs. Many companies look at that stuff. Getting hired does not necessarily depend on your GPA, but if it’s high enough, including it might better your chances.

Regardless of where you go and what you do, your GPA will always follow you. It is a representation of your work ethic and persistence. It shows what you are capable of. It doesn’t have to be the highest score to be respectable. It just has to be clear that you are focused and driven. It has to show that you care about what you are working towards. That’s why your GPA matters. It may be “just a number”, but it represents so much more.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Do you think GPA matters? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
