Blogmas Day #22: Holiday Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys! Welcome back. I tried to film my Holiday Makeup Tutorial, but it didn’t go as planned. If you want to see the video, you can watch it here. It’s not the best quality though, so I am also going to explain it step by step in this post. I will also be letting you know all of the products I used. I will also link other holiday makeup tutorials that I have been loving by other people at the end.

First, I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer on my eye lids as a primer. Then I set it with the lightest shade called Poof in the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic Eyeshadow Palette. Then I took the shade Shhh and put that in my crease as my transition shade. I then took the shade Potion which is an army green shade and put that a little bit below the transition shade. Then I took the shade Inside Job, which is a dark blue-green shade and stamped that on the outer corner of the lid. Then I took the shade Power Cut which is a really sparkly silver shade and put that on the inner half of the lid. Then I took Potion and blended all the edges. I took the shade Temptress, which is a really black shade and used that as an eyeliner.

Next I took the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara and put several coats on my lashes.

Then I used the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Primer Water Spray and the Milani Prime Protect SPF 30 Face Primer and put these all over my face.

For foundation I used the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation. I chose this because I love the finish. It’s a medium coverage foundation, but I mixed two concealers today so I preferred something a little lighter.

The two concealers I used were the Maybelline Fit Me and the Tarte Shape Tape. I find that the Shape Tape is a little too light and the Fit Me is a little too dark. So mixing them gives a good shade. Also the Shape Tape is more dry and the Fit Me is more hydrating, so mixing them gives the perfect combination.

I used the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder to set everything. It worked perfectly.

To contour I used the contour shade in the Smashbox Cali Contour Palette. It’s the perfect shade for my skin tone and blends really well.

For bronzer I tried the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer. I honestly don’t love the smell. To me it smells like buttered popcorn and it’s very overwhelming. But the shade is nice and I think it bronzed pretty well.

I also tried the Physician’s Formula Butter Blush. Same reaction. Not my favorite. I used the shade Vintage Rouge.

For highlight, I used the lightest shade in the Flower Beauty Shimmer and Strobe Palette. It’s a great highlight, especially with it being so affordable.

For my eyebrows I used the E.L.F. Eyebrow Pencil in the shade Taupe to fill them in where I needed to.

For my lips I used the Wet n’ Wild Gel Lip Liner in the shade Bare To Comment.

And that’s all! I hope you get some inspiration from this. Here are a few other tutorials that I have been loving lately:
