Why I Started Blogging

Hey guys! Welcome back. I think I have done this post before, but I wanted to do it again for anyone who is new to my blog. Here within the next couple of weeks I will be publishing pieces from other members of the team telling you why they joined my blog. So before we do that, I wanted to let you know why I started this blog. We have so many new followers and I am so grateful, so I wanted to give you guys a little background.

I started my blog in June of 2017. I decided to start writing consistently and truly devote time to the blog. I wasn’t doing it to make money or become “famous” or anything. I was really doing it just for me. I wanted to find my voice most of all and I needed a platform where I could do that. Blogging did that for me. It gave me a space to write whatever I wanted and share my thoughts.

Now, I know you might be thinking, “why didn’t you just buy a journal?” and the truth is I didn’t want to share my thoughts with just myself. I know a lot of people journal and it really helps them, but I didn’t want to help just myself. I hoped that maybe I would help other people as well. 500+ followers later, and it seems to me that I am helping at least a few people.

I started blogging in the hopes that maybe someone would gain something from my words. I never thought it would grow into what it has, but I am thankful. I started blogging for me, but I keep blogging for all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support each and every day.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Why did you decide to follow my blog? Or how did you find it? I would love to know. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

  1. Wow! That’s EXACTLY why I started blogging. I also wanted a platform where I could find my voice, a place where I could share my thoughts and opinions on things in the hopes that someone will agree with me whereas at home, I just get told that I’m too young to contemplate on these things so I should just
    *let it go*
But I can’t let it go. I’ve been a thinker from my birth, I mean, seriously, I was a romantic even when I was a toddler and I *thought too much*. I mean literally too much. I hope you can relate to this as well.
By the way I found out about your blog by one of the blog posts of https://bayance.wordpress.com
And I’ve been loving your blog ever since! Keep it up, Geeky Girl!💞 (which I am as well😁).

  2. I either found your blog through the Readers section where WordPress randomly shows two bloggers that I am not following as a way to encourage me to consider following them, or because you liked one of my posts. Short-term memory issues. When somebody likes one of my posts or follows me, I check out their blog and try to find a blog post I can like back. In some cases, I follow them.

  3. A lovely reason to start a blog! That’s why I try to be as honest as I can whenever I review things on my blog, cause I always hope I can better educate readers on certain products- whether it be a recommendation or warning haha
