Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am going to do a post dedicated to self care. I was recently asked what self care I do every week, so I figured I would do a post completely dedicated to it. Self care is extremely important and even though we talk about it all the time, we don’t always know where to begin or what exactly to do. So I thought this was a good starting point. Hopefully this helps you get an idea of things you should do every week to take care of yourself.
1. Sleep. One of the most important things you can do to take care of yourself every week is make sure you are getting enough sleep. It is vital for your physical and mental health that you are getting enough sleep and adequately resting. Otherwise, all the other self care you may do won’t have the same effect.
2. Be outside in nature. Being outside and taking in all the nature is really good for you. It helps you be calm and relax. Being outside is one of my favorite things to do for self care. I like walking around and seeing the birds and all the different plants. It just makes everything seem so peaceful and I really like it.
3. Reflect. Reflecting may not seem like a super fun form of self care, but it is really helpful in knowing where you stand. Reflecting each week allows you to look back and evaluate your habits, track your goals, and see how far you have come. You can see what is going well and what you need to work on. Reflecting opens your eyes to how you can further take care of yourself.
4. Cleanse your system. Cleansing yourself of all the toxins, bad habits, and mistakes you made from the week can help you move forward. Cleanse your mind of the things you messed up on. Cleanse your body from the bad things you put in it. Cleanse your heart of anything you are not proud of. And then move forward.
5. Treat yourself. After a week of hard work, treating yourself is a really great form of self care. It is nice to be able to work towards something and feel really good. Treating yourself will hopefully motivate you to keep working towards your goals and keep going on the right path. Treat yourself and be kind.
