Hey guys! Welcome back. I know that New Year’s Resolutions are super popular and that the new year is a great fresh start. However, today I wanted to talk about ways to have a fresh start even in the middle of the year. It doesn’t have to be a new year or a new month to start over and get your life on the track that you want it to be on. Therefore, I am going to share some ways that you can have a fresh start no matter what time of year it is.

1. Say “yes” to challenging yourself.

There are lot of things that we say no to just because they are out of our comfort zone. So if you are looking for a fresh start, consider all the things that you want and all the things that would make you happy. Start challenging yourself and pushing yourself to work toward those goals. There is always new opportunity for action and growth when you really start to challenge your boundaries.

3. Create a list of things that you want to stop doing.

While there are plenty of things that you can say yes to, there are probably many things that you could say no to. We all have habits we need to break and things we need to work on. So having that list allows you to take control and create a fresh start with habits that you are happy with and that are working to cultivate the life you want. It’s important to move forward, but in order to truly do that you need to leave old habits behind.

3. Figure out what will make you happy.

Very few people actually take the time to sit down and define what happiness means for them. They expect it to just happen. But if you want to be happy, you have to figure out what will actually make you happy. There is no one-size-fits-all formula. Happiness is not the same for everyone. So if you want that fresh start, start by deciding what happiness looks like for you and what you value most of all.

4. Declutter.

One of the best ways to start fresh no matter what season it is, is to get rid of the clutter. It’s such a renewing feeling and really helps you feel a lot better. With a new space, you have a visual fresh start. That can help you a lot with your mindset and working to move toward other things. Start by getting rid of all the things you don’t want or need in your space and go from there.

5. Stop letting fear hold you back.

Outside of staying in our comfort zone, fear is the biggest thing that holds us back. We typically don’t like the unknown and would rather not take risks. But if you want a fresh start, it’s important to not let fear control you. Stop using fear as an excuse and go after what you want. Because even if it doesn’t work out, there is still a lesson to be learned or another opportunity out there.
