Hey guys! Welcome back. Have you ever struggled with having a bad week? Like it seems like everyday you just can’t catch a break and the streak never seems to be ending? I know I have. Whether things are just going wrong or you can’t seem to get motivated, sometimes we have weeks that just aren’t the best. However, by changing your mindset you can see that even if your week isn’t the best, there are still ways to recognize the good. So in today’s post I am sharing my advice on how you can turn a bad week around.

Do something nice for someone.

Doing something nice for someone may not seem like a great way to turn your week around, but it really is. By giving or helping someone else, you can see the appreciation and happiness in them. This will help you feel good and know that you are doing something great. It may also help you be able to see the good in your own life. You may also be turning their week around, so it’s really a win-win.

Take your mind somewhere else. 

Whether you need to go visit a family or friend, write in your journal, or something else, taking your mind off of your to-do list and all your worries is a great way to improve things. You will be giving yourself a break and allowing yourself time to clear your head. It allows you to escape the mental drama that is going on in your mind and just focus solely on something else.

Treat yourself.

If you are having a bad week, there is no better feeling than treating yourself. Do something you enjoy or let yourself have something you normally don’t. We often get burnt out by all the expectations and demands that are placed on us. So put yourself in a better mood by treating yourself and satisfying your needs. Give to yourself what you are constantly giving to other people.

Rest.

By this, I don’t just mean sleeping at night, although that is important. I also mean just taking time during the day to rest. Don’t worry about work or any other responsibilities. Take some time just for you so you can relax. We like to keep ourselves busy which is great, but it’s also important to remember that it’s okay to give yourself a break. We are all guilty of giving ourselves ridiculously high standards, so make one of the standards allowing yourself adequate rest.

Organize and rearrange.

If you are having a bad week, it may be because you feel like you are in a rut. So a great way to get out of that is to change up your scenery. Whether it is organizing all the things that have been driving you crazy or simply rearranging your furniture, this may help you get motivated and change the way you think about how your week is going. It can help you feel like you have a fresh start.

Change your mindset.

Everyone is open to interpretation about the situation that they are in. When you tell yourself that you are having a bad week, you automatically give it all kinds of negative connotations that are difficult to erase. Your feelings and actions are going to reflect these negative thoughts. So if you want to turn your bad week around, try changing the way you think about it and see how much that helps.
