Hey guys! Welcome back. I get a lot of questions about my blog and different things about running a blog and business. So I figured I would answer those here and give you guys an inside look into a few things. These are questions I get a lot on social media and I wanted to have all of the answers for you in one place. If you have any other questions about my blog or business, please let me know in the comments and I will update this in the future.
1. How did you start Love, Geeky Girl?
2. How do you earn money?
3. Are you hiring?
We are not hiring at the moment. If we do decide to hire in the future we will announce it on Instagram (lovegeekygirl). The interns will have first pick at jobs though.
4. Do you have Investors?
I do not have any Investors. All the things you see happening are coming from me. I buy my own domain and everything.
5. What are your favorite Income strategies?
My favorite way to bring in income is by coaching. I love being able to help people and turn my passion into a job. However, not everyone is cut out for coaching, so if that’s not for you I recommend selling resources, online courses, or e-books?
6. How did you get started? What did you do first in your business?
I got started by working out plans for what I wanted to do with coaching. I came up with packages and prices. The first thing I did was coach people for free to get feedback and I just went from there. It was a long road to getting everything sorted out.
7. Do you do one-on-one coaching?
I do! You can click here for more information.
8. How do you manage your finances in your business?
Right now all the money that I make from my business goes into a separate account. I can’t touch any of it until a certain time. I did that so I can be saving money and build up a savings plan.
9. Do you invest in ads?
At this time I am not running ads. I find that my followers support me enough and social media is such a great way of advertising for free. So I personally don’t feel the need to spend money on advertisements when things seem to be going well enough right now.
10. Do you work with anyone?
Right now it is just me. I have had assistants in the past and have worked with a couple of other people, but it hasn’t been anything long term. Right now I am working on my own and just figuring things out.
11. How did you manage to upscale your blog into a business?
I won’t lie and say that it was the easiest thing. It was definitely a process. However, since it is something that I am so passionate about I put in the work. The first thing you have to do is be transparent with your audience. Let them know that the changes are coming and give them ways to look forward to it. Always have a plan, but remember that you can change the plan. Just keep your followers in the loop.
12. Did you help anyone before starting your business?
Definitely! One of the reasons I decided to start a coaching business is because I had so many people asking for help. I felt so blessed that people were reaching out to me, of all people. So I decided since this is something I love and I’m really good at, I might as well turn into a job.
13. How do you market yourself?
I don’t market myself. I market the customer. Basically that means that I figure out what other people want and need and I create products that tailor to those needs. That is the best way to sell products and services. Because if you only focus on yourself, people are less likely to buy into it. The customer should always be your biggest priority.
14. Are you paid for your posts?
At this time I am not being paid for my posts. I have never done a sponsored post or anything like that. I am not a part of any affiliate programs that pay me. Everything you see is unpaid content. I do it because I love it.
15. Is online coaching difficult?
It is not the easiest thing. I mean it definitely takes a lot of time and effort. But I find that it is 100% worth it, so it would be much more difficult if I didn’t love it.
16. What made you start your business?
I had so many people coming to me for help and I knew this is something that I really loved. So I turned my passion into my business.
17. Is this your full-time job?
This is not my full-time job. I do work on it full-time, but I’m not making full-time income. Hopefully one day though.
18. Would this ever be your full-time job?
That’s the goal. Hopefully it is in God’s plan for me.
19. What services and products do you offer?
See the answer to Question #2.
20. What advice do you have for other business bloggers?
Don’t give up. It will take time before you start seeing the success you want, but it is worth it. Always keep your audience and customers at the center of everything and you will start seeing the results you desire. Keep going and don’t quit.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
