Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to talk to you about pushing forward on those days when you just don’t want to. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed or unmotivated. Sometimes we feel both and we are really in a pinch. So today I wanted to share with you a few tips on how you can keep moving forward despite these feelings and hopefully get back on track.

1. Consider why you feel this way.

If you feel overwhelmed or unmotivated there is probably a reason why. Are you not sleeping enough? Are you not eating nutritious meals? Are you having a disagreement with someone? Are you unorganized? All of these, and more, can cause you to feel one or both feelings. Once you gain an understanding of why you feel this way, you are more likely to be able to move forward.

2. Think about the pros and cons of giving up.

If you are considering giving up and not pushing forward, I highly recommend considering your options. Weigh all the benefits and the issues that might arise if you give up. And then take a step back. Walk away. Come back and then make a decision. Don’t try to do it all at once because you are likely to push yourself in a direction that you don’t really want to go. Just take your time.

3. Find your inspiration.

If you are feeling unmotivated, or even overwhelmed, find some inspiration. Whether it is a person, a song, or browsing through Pinterest, find something that sparks you and helps you get back on your feet. This will give you the determination to get through the negative feelings and find the desire to get started again. This way, you are remembering your why and deciding to follow through.

4. Start small.

You don’t have to do everything in one day. Start with the smallest thing and work from there. Start by making a plan or figuring out your next step. Then work from there. Learn to trust the process and know that it’s going to be okay. Continue to work hard, but effectively and efficiently. Don’t try to push yourself too much especially if you are already overwhelmed.

5. Keep moving forward.

Any progress is progress. You don’t have to have a day full of progress to be proud of yourself. Any step you take is progress. And you have to remember that. Remember that you are working and moving forward. You are doing your best and that is really all that matters. You are doing your best and that is enough. Keep moving forward and you will get there when the time is right.

6. Believe in yourself. 

Without believing in yourself, you won’t be able to overcome the things that you are feeling. You just have to trust that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Believe in your capabilities and have faith in yourself. This will really help you a lot and keep you moving forward. Believing in yourself is one of the best things you can do when you are feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated.
