Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you my morning routine for the next few months. It is a pretty basic routine, but I know you guys really like these kinds of posts. I have had quite a few people request this over on Instagram so I decided to share it with you today. This is what I do (or try to do) every morning. So here is my morning routine for the start of the semester.
Get up and make my bed.
I am really striving to get up on time this semester. I have had a bad habit of hitting snooze in previous semesters, but this semester I really want to be up the first time it goes off so I can jump start my day. I also strive to make my bed everyday because it helps me feel more put together and ensures that at the very least, my bed is clean.
Drink some water.
I typically do this while I am doing other things, but I wanted to include it just so you know that it is here. Drinking water in the morning while I am doing the rest of what I will include really helps me hydrate and feel replenished to start my day. It is a great way to start off on the right foot.
Get ready for the day.
This includes brushing my teeth, skin care, getting dressed, doing my hair, and doing my makeup. I just do it all at once and make sure that I am fully ready before moving on to anything else. Sometimes if I am rushing because I didn’t get up on time my morning routine ends here.
Plan the day.
If I don’t get around to doing this the night before, I take a few minutes during the morning to plan my day. I take a look at my planners and create a list of things I need to do that day. Then I plug those things in my calendar and try to fit as much as I can on my calendar without overwhelming myself.
Reading is one of my favorite things to do in the morning. It helps me feel productive and it also inspires and motivates me. I mostly like to read non-fiction or lifestyle books that will help improve my quality of life. I also read the Bible during this time some mornings, but I may move that to later in the day as well.
I won’t lie and tell you that I do this every single morning. Because the truth is, I don’t. However, I do really try to eat something. I do eat breakfast most mornings because it prevents overeating later in the day. Having a good breakfast is my favorite part of the morning, so it’s something I really look forward to.
