Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Today I wanted to share with you how I took control of my life and started doing the things that I wanted to do. These are things that really helped me find myself and work toward becoming the best version of myself. So here are the steps I took to take control of my life.
When it came to taking control of my life, the very first thing I had to do was let go. I needed to let go of my failures, my disappointments, and all the negative things from my past that I was holding on to. Because the more I held on to those things, the less control I had. So my first priority was to work on letting those things go so I could work on growing for the future.
Work on happiness.
Once I let go of all the negativity, I had to start working on my own happiness. I had spent so much time worrying about other people’s happiness, that I hadn’t really focused on my own. So I knew in order to take control of my life I needed to take care of myself. I needed to work on things that make me happy and that help me better myself.
Saying yes to more opportunities.
In the past I would say no to opportunities out of fear or insecurity. However, I started to notice that doing so was really holding me back. I was keeping myself down and preventing my growth and that was not good for me. So I started saying yes to more opportunities where I could and I really started to see a difference. I no longer allowed fear or insecurity to rule over me. I had the power to say yes and feel good about it.
Surround myself with the right people.
When I started evaluating my relationship with people, I started to notice a huge difference between the time I spent with the right people and the time I spent with the wrong people. The right people lifted me up and supported me. The wrong people put me down and made me really insecure. So when I took control of my life I knew I had to start cutting people out. And I’m still working on this, but it’s coming.
Stay away from negativity.
I do this as much as I possibly can. I try to stay away from negative people and work towards staying more positive. Because the more negativity I am around, the more negative I am. So to remain positive, I know I need to be in a positive space with positive people. And this has really transformed my life.
