Hey guys! Welcome back. Blogging has been such a big part of my life these past couple of years and it has really helped me grow into the person that I am. And I really believe that blogging can help you mentally and emotionally. So today I wanted to share a few reasons why blogging can be a form of therapy because it certainly has been for me. So here are those reasons.

It provides an outlet.

Having a blog allows you to work through whatever you have going on. It gives you a place of support and growth. It gives you something to work on and cultivate. Blogging is a great outlet because you can talk about whatever you want. You get to build a community of amazing followers that will grow to support you and help you. It gives you the time and the space to work and be creative. It really is one of the best creative outlets I have ever tried.

Your blog is something that is yours and yours alone.

When it comes to your blog, it is something that is yours completely. You have control over everything. You may take advice or ask for requests from your followers, but even then you get to decide what you do with that information. Having something like this that is completely your own is something that will really help you if you are struggling. It shows you that you can do things on your own and have a space that is just for you. It allows you to talk about anything you are passionate about or want to share. It takes you away from anything else that is going on and you can just focus on your blog and whatever you want it to be. It’s all up to you.

Blogging builds confidence.

The more you work on your blog and the more you see it growing, the more confident you will become. You will see that you have a voice and you are changing other people’s lives through your words and you work. There is no feeling like it. You have no idea the lives and minds that you are shaping by writing your posts and sharing them with the world. It gives you a new kind of confidence that no one can take away. You start to see your value and your worth and that is something that you will grow to appreciate.

I originally started blogging to fulfill a requirement for a study abroad scholarship I received (I had to document my study abroad), but I decided to continue my blog for myself and for other study abroad students. I like to share my experiences if it can help other people. I found blogging helps me express myself especially when I’m really shy in person.
