Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are enjoying your week. Today I wanted to talk about something that I feel like we don’t talk about as much as we should. And that is how to design your life. By “design” I mean making your life as enjoyable and unstressful as possible. So I am going to talk about five things you can do to help make your life more of a life that you want to live. These will make things go a lot smoother and you will see significant changes. So here are five things you can do to design your life.

1. Make time for yourself.

The biggest mistake I see people make when they are trying to get things done or live their best life is they never stop. Trust me, I am absolutely guilty of this myself, but I have learned the significance of making time for myself and making sure that I don’t just work all the time. Self care is something that has become a huge priority for me and I really take it seriously. It is important to work hard, but it’s also important to make sure you are enjoying your time and taking care of yourself.

2. Own your mistakes.

No one is perfect. We all mess up. The very best thing for you to do in this situation is own up to it. Admit what you did and work to fix it. Whether it is to yourself, your family or friends, your boss, or to your audience, make sure you admit that you were wrong and show that you are working to fix it. This is the best way to help you grow and ensure that you are not making the same mistake twice. You aren’t perfect, so just own up to it and start to grow.

3. Prioritize.

When it comes to designing your life and creating it the way you want it to be, you have to prioritize. Your priorities won’t be the same everyday. Sometimes it will be work. Sometimes it will be family. Sometimes it will be you. Whatever it is, make sure you are sticking to it and doing what is best for you. Prioritizing will help you make sure you are getting things done and that everything is benefiting you in some way. Of course, life happens and you can’t control everything. However, those priorities will help guide you and ensure that something gets done.

4. Take a break.

This goes along with the first tip, but I also think it is kind of one on it’s own. It’s important to take breaks when it comes to doing anything. Because sometimes we get so stressed and so overwhelmed that we just can’t go anymore. To prevent from getting to that point, it’s important to take breaks. Give yourself 10 to 15 minutes to step away. Make sure you are taking days off and allowing yourself to rest. It’s important to your overall health that you take breaks and reset.

5. Let it go.

This is a big one and something that I think is super important. Anything that holds you down or holds you back doesn’t need to be in your life. The longer you hold on to the negativity and anything that is not helping you live your best life, the longer it will take you to reach your full potential. So don’t hold on to anyone or anything that is not beneficial. Let. It. Go. Just let go. You will feel so much better and you will start to see significant improvement in your overall well-being.
