Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am coming at you with a post for all of my fellow bloggers. Today I wanted to share with you some things you can do for your blog that don’t include writing a blog post. These are things you can do when you want to work on your blog, but you don’t want to be sitting and writing all the time. These are ways that you can ensure you are being productive without having to constantly be writing. So here are some productive things you can do for your blog when you aren’t creating any new content.
Brainstorm new ideas.
One of the best and more creative things you can do is brainstorm new ideas. You can never have too many new ideas and sometimes this can be as simple as just jotting down a few title ideas. Or you can brainstorm new topics you want to write about. You can brainstorm points for your next post. Whatever it is, work to brainstorm new ideas and keep them all in one place so you are organized and don’t lose anything.
Update your social media.
Whether it is sharing a link on Twitter or hopping on Instagram stories, working on updating your social media is a great productive use of your time. Not only does it help you promote your content and grow your audience, but it helps you connect with your current followers. It also helps new people find you. So use your down time to connect on social media and share with your followers.
Reply to messages and comments.
Replying to people who message you or comment on your posts is another great way to be productive and connect with your audience. It is a great way to acknowledge the people who take the time to leave a nice comment. It’s also a great way to show that you care and appreciate your audience. The more you interact, the more they will interact. And interaction is an essential aspect of blogging as a whole.
Schedule tweets, posts, and pins.
If you have time after you have updated social media for the day, schedule upcoming posts. You can do this on most social media platforms and it is a great way to stay proactive and make sure that you are always sharing your content. Schedule your social media posts when you can so you know that your audience is having that and you don’t have to worry about it if you are busy later on.
Make a plan and set goals.
Having a clear blogging plan is what will help take you to the next level of blogging. Your blog needs structure and consistency to survive and thrive. So take some time to make a plan and figure out what your vision is. Setting goals can help you make that vision a reality. It gives you something to work on that is going to help progress you and your blog in the future.
