Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I have another post for my blogging friends out there. This will helpful if you have a blog or if you are thinking about starting a blog. These are ten very essential things your blog needs in order to succeed. So if you are struggling with what you need to have I consider saving this list and using it for future reference. This will be a great guide to have on hand.

1. Search function.

One of the biggest things you need for your blog that you may not think about is a search bar. This will help your readers be able to find specific posts and search for anything they may want to find. This will help boost your overall views and help people want to follow your blog.

2. Easy navigation.

Another essential aspect of your blog is that it is easy to navigate. I have visited a few blogs that weren’t easy to use and read and it was really frustrating. I clicked out of the page and I usually don’t return. So it is important to make sure that you have a blog theme and design that is easy for readers to navigate.

3. Subscribe function.

I didn’t realize how important having an email list was until way later in the game. But it is something I wish I had started much sooner. So I highly recommend having that subscribe function and encouraging your readers to subscribe. It’s also good to have an incentive to make them want.

4. Social media.

Social media is crucial if you want to really grow your blog and extend your reach. It will help you connect with your readers and reach new readers. I highly recommend having at least one platform. It will help you in so many ways so it’s important to spend time on at least one platform. Find what works for you and your blog.

5. Comments from you.

It is so important to make sure you are commenting on your blog posts. If someone takes the time to comment on your post (unless it is rude), you should be kind and respectful enough to respond to it if you can. Comments from you shows that you care about your readers and want to interact with them.

6. Contact form.

Another thing that is important is to have a contact form. This will allow your readers and others to contact you. It’s a great way to connect with your audience, fellow bloggers, brands, and businesses. This is a great way to be open and allow for people to contact you without giving out too much personal information.

7. Email newsletter.

This is something that I am still struggling with. Once people subscribe, they are going to want to hear from you. Therefore, it is important to make sure you are sending out a newsletter every once in a while to ensure that your readers aren’t just subscribing to nothing. Consistency is key.

8. Share buttons.

Having share buttons is key because it allows other people to share your blog posts. It’s a great way for people to have that easy access and share what they love with their own followers. This gives you even more views and readers without having to try any harder than you already are.

9. About Me Page.

People visiting your blog will probably want to know who you are and what your blog is about. So it’s a good idea to have an “About Me” Page that allows your readers to get to know you on a more personal basis. You can tell your story, why you started your blog, and anything else that you feel compelled to share.

10. Professional theme.

When you are starting out, it is okay to have a more laid back theme. However, once you start really getting into everything and working on your blog even more, it is a good idea to update your theme to a more professional theme. WordPress has tons of free professional looking themes that will help you if you don’t want to pay for it.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or requests for further posts. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
