Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you some things that I cut out of my budget and stopped spending as much money on. Cutting these things has helped me save so much money and I couldn’t be happier that I did this. I just wish I had done it sooner. So here are the wasteful expenses I cut from my budget so I could save money.

1. Eating out.

It’s really tempting to go out to eat or order take out. But it ends up costing a lot of money in the long run and it’s money that could go towards something more beneficial or saved for the future. I still eat out occasionally, but it’s not nearly as often and I am able to eat more nutritional foods while saving money.

2. Buying bottled beverages.

Whether it is bottled water or soda, I try to limit how often I buy pre-packaged beverages. I just invested in a reusable water bottle that I fill up at water fountains or in the dining hall. Not only does this save money, but it also helps save the environment. So it’s another tip that has double the incentive.

3. Daily coffee.

I cut down buying coffee to only buying once or twice a week. Sometimes I don’t buy any at all. It saves a lot of money, but I don’t tell myself I can’t have it at all. This way I can still indulge every now and then, but I’m not spending money on coffee every single day. It’s a lot better for me and I end up saving quite a bit of money.

4. Impulse buying.

I used to be really bad at impulse buying, and I still am, but it’s not as bad now. It’s something that I have been working on quite a bit and I like to think I am improving. I save a lot more money now and it has helped me not have so much stuff. I’m grateful that I started being more mindful.

5. Clothes and makeup that I don’t really need.

It’s no secret that I love makeup, but I honestly have enough for like seven people. So I have stopped buying it as much and started just using what I have. As far as clothes are concerned, I really only buy something if I really need it or I really, really want it and know I will get my money’s worth.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what you stopped spending money on that has saved you a good deal of money. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
