Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great weekend. I recently did a post all about productive things you can do at night instead of Netflix. It went over really well and you guys seemed to really enjoy that. So I figured today I would share with you some better, more productive things to do in the morning that don’t involve scrolling through social media. These are things that will help you have a much better start to your day. So here are some things you can do in the morning that are a much better use of time than looking at social media.

Skin Care Routine.

If you have been around here for a while you know how much of an advocate I am for skin care. It is super important for taking care of your skin and keeping it looking good. So instead of scrolling through social media in the morning checking out everyone else’s life, get up and wash you face!

Drink water.

After several hours of not eating or drinking anything, your body desperately needs hydration. So one of the best things you can do in the morning is get up and drink some water. At least on glass will do your body a lot of good. It’s a great way to wake your body up and get you ready to start the day.

Play music.

I am such a lover of music and I really love playing it in the morning. I will admit I have been listening to Christmas music this week. I just love it so much. But I also play regular music. It helps wake me up and get me excited about starting my day. I like to play music while I am getting ready.

Walk outside.

I have to walk outside to go to class or work and if it’s not too cold I will walk around for a few minutes and enjoy the fresh air. I am usually still listening to music and drinking water as well. It just helps me wake up and get my body going. It’s a great way to burn some early calories as well.

Read.

This is not something that I do as often as I would like to, but I think it would be a more productive use of time than scrolling through social media. Even if you keep a book by your bed you can wake up and start reading before you even get out of bed. I think it’s a great idea.

Write down three priorities for the day.

Knowing what you need to do and what order you need to do them in is also a great use of time. Take a few minutes to write down the three biggest things you need to get done that day. That way you are more prepared for the day ahead and you know exactly what you will need to do later on.

Stretch.

Get out of bed (or you could stay in bed) and do some stretches. This will also help wake up your body and help you start moving a lot sooner. Some light stretches in the morning has a lot of benefits that I didn’t even know about. I always try to do some stretching in the morning as soon as I get up.

Bullet Journal.

If you are not a fan of bullet journaling you could just journal in general. Write something down. Have your own thoughts for the day before you start reading everyone else’s. I like bullet journaling because it keeps me organized and helps me keep track of all of my goals.

Work Out.

One of my favorite things to do here lately has been Blogilates. If you don’t know about Blogilates, it is a channel on YouTube you can search. She has a lot of super fun work outs and it’s just one of my absolute favorite ways to start my morning. I highly recommend checking it out.

Make your bed.

This is another one that doesn’t take too much time, but it has a super big impact. I always feel much more productive and ready to start my day when I have made my bed. It helps everything else come together a lot easier and I feel more put together. So get up and make your bed.

Reach out to someone.

If you feel the need to absolutely be on your phone, use that time to reach out to someone. Send a good morning message to your friend, your parents, or someone you don’t talk to very often. Just reach out and help them have a more positive morning as well. It will help a ton.

Be Grateful.

Take a few minutes to write down three things you are grateful for. Gratitude is never a bad practice to have. Write those three things on a piece of paper or a sticky note and post it somewhere where you will see it throughout the day. It will remind you of why you are here and how much you have to be thankful for.

Rewrite your goals.

It is never a bad idea to remind yourself of the goals that you have. Whether it’s your daily goals, your monthly goals, or even your yearly goals, write them down. This will help you remember why you are doing what you are doing and what you are working so hard towards.

Spend some time getting ready.

I like to spend time getting ready because it really boosts my confidence. I feel more put together when I look more put together. So if you are looking for something to do, take some time to really get ready. I don’t mean makeup necessarily unless you want to, but just do the things you normally don’t have time for.

Eat breakfast.

A healthy, tasty breakfast beats scrolling through social media everyday of the week for me. I would much rather eat breakfast every morning than spend that time looking at other people. I really recommend this one if none of the others are appealing to you. Who doesn’t love eating breakfast?

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what your favorite thing to do in the morning is. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
