Blogmas Day #9: It’s Not What I Expected

Hey guys! Welcome back to Blogmas. I hope you had a great weekend and that you are ready to take on this week. Yesterday I posted about how my weekend had been going for me. I mentioned that it wasn’t great and that I was really struggling with my sickness and trying to stay on top of everything that I needed to get done. And it has been a struggle. It’s my last college weekend ever and this just isn’t what I was expecting.

But I know it’s okay. I know that things don’t always go as planned. I know that yesterday I really needed sleep. I needed that rest and my body was going to get it one way or another. I know that just because I think I always need to be on the go, doesn’t mean that I actually will be or that I really need to be. What I need is to slow down and learn how to really balance it all.

It is a struggle for me, but it’s time to learn. It’s time to figure out how to balance everything and keep moving forward. Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to, but there are so many amazing things that are going on that I can be grateful for. There are so many things I am working on both professionally and personally that I can’t wait to share with you. 2020 is going to start off great and I can’t wait to show you.

There are a lot of things about life that I expected to go differently. But they didn’t. And I have learned that every time something doesn’t go the way I thought it would, there is a reason for that. And all of these things have helped me grow and become stronger. So if you are also struggling with things not going the way you want them to, just know that you are not alone and everything will work out the way God is intending for it to go.

Nothing about life is simple. Nothing about life is easy. Nothing about life ever really makes sense. But the point is, you have to keep moving. You have to keep living life and know that things will go the direction they are meant to go. Things may not go the way you want them to go, but you must have faith that they are going the way that they are meant to go.

I have been struggling a lot lately. However, I keep reminding myself that things will work out. And I wrote this to remind you of the same thing. Take some time for yourself this Holiday Season. Do things that make you happy and that keep you going. You will thank yourself later on. Also remember that just because things aren’t going the way you expected doesn’t mean they are going the wrong way.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what you will be doing for yourself this Holiday Season. Don’t forge to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
