Blogmas Day #18: Things I’m Looking Forward To After Graduation

Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great day. As most of you know, I recently graduated from college. So today I wanted to share with you the things that I am most looking forward to now that college is over and I am entering into the next chapter of my life. These are things that may not seem like a big deal to some, but to me I am excited to finally be able to have these things.

Making money.

I made some money in college, but not anything super substantial. I am excited to finally be getting a job that pays much more that I can actually live off of. Instead of working for good grades, I will be working for money. I can say goodbye to being a broke college student and finally have some financial freedom so I can start paying my own bills and paying off my loans. It doesn’t sound fun, but it’s the kind of thing that really stinks when you’re in college. You don’t have any money to do anything.

Not having to study or do homework.

Gone are the days that I have to stay up for hours at night studying and doing homework. I can go to work and come home and not have to worry about working more. It’s not hours spent in class, then hours spent at work, then hours spent doing homework. I might actually have time for other things. So not having to study and do homework is something that I am really looking forward to. It will be kind of strange, but it’s a breath of fresh air.

Meeting new people.

Moving to a new city comes with a lot of benefits and new opportunities. And one of those is the opportunity to meet new people. I had to say goodbye to a lot of people, but one thing I have to look forward to is being able to make new friends. I am really looking forward to getting to know new people and building new relationships. I love the prospect of not knowing who is going to impact my life next.

A whole new level of independence.

College came with it’s fair share of independence. It was my first big step into making decisions for myself. But graduating comes with a whole new level of independence. I now get to live on my own, take care of myself completely, and I have complete control over what I do and where I go. It is scary, but it is also a great way to grow and learn. Is it going to be perfect? Not a chance. But it’s going to be great.

Finally letting go.

Graduating from college is giving me the opportunity to finally let go. I get to let go of all the people who hurt me and all the trauma I went through. I get to move to a new place where few people know me and start over. I get to move on from the things that have hurt me and help me back. Finally getting to let go is one of the things that is most exciting about graduating from college. It is giving me a chance to completely let go of so many things and so many people.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. I wanted to let you know that I am doing a giveaway over on my Instagram (lovegeekygirlblog) that ends on Christmas Eve.
