Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great day. Today I wanted to share with you some healthy habits ideas to start in the new year. Having goals is great and they help keep you on track. But building habits that aren’t going to go away is also great. So I wanted to give you some healthy habits ideas that you can start in the new year and even build some of your goals around.
I am the kind of person who absolutely loves walking. It is a great way to relieve stress and just relax while also burning some calories. I recommend walking for at least 20-30 minutes everyday. You can listen to music, a podcast, or even an audio book.
Write everything down.
I use to struggle with trying to remember everything and then getting frustrated when I forgot what I needed to do. So writing everything down really helps. You can use a planner, an app, or even a plain notebook.
Create a morning routine.
Morning routines help you start your day off on your own terms. So if that is something you are interested in, start figuring out things that would help you start your day off the way you want.
Get enough sleep.
I cannot stress how important getting enough sleep is, not only mentally, but also physically. Getting enough sleep is crucial to waking up prepared to do everything you need to do.
Even if it’s just a page or listening to an audio book while you get ready in the morning. Reading helps you learn which ultimately helps you grow. It helps ensure that you are taking in valuable information.
Work out consistently.
You don’t have to work out every single day. You can, but for most people it’s not something that we need or want to do. As long as you are being consistent and doing it regularly, you are in good shape.
Self-care is extremely important, but finding time to do it is something more difficult than we like. So it often gets put on the back burner. Scheduling it helps ensure that you are finding time to make it happen.
Saving money helps in all different areas of your life and it’s something that I am really striving to do. Whether it is to buy something you want, get out of debt, or simply have an emergency fund, make it a habit to start saving money.
Track your habits and goals.
Having habits and goals are great, but if you aren’t making sure you are making progress than it isn’t really doing a lot of good. It is important to track your goals and habits to keep up with your progress and the things you need to work on.
Carry a water bottle with you everywhere.
I recommend buying a reusable water bottle. Preferably one that you love and are excited about using. If you carry a water bottle with you everywhere you are more likely to drink out of it. It then becomes second nature.
Unfollow when you are unhappy.
It doesn’t make you a bad friend or a bad follower if you unfollow someone. If they are doing something or saying things that you aren’t on board with you can unfollow, even if it’s just temporary.
Create a gratitude journal.
Leading each day with a grateful heart is so important. So I highly recommend getting a journal just for gratitude. Write in it everyday what you are grateful for so you always remember what you have.
