Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you some things I am striving to do everyday this year. I believe in building habits, especially helpful habits, so I felt inclined to share with you the habits I am working to build. The new year is a great time for motivation and change, but if you don’t keep up with it you can fall short of where you want to be. So hopefully this inspires you to create your own list of things you want to do everyday.
1. Get up a little earlier.
Getting up earlier is great for many reasons. However, one of the biggest reasons it is so great is because it gives you the opportunity to get some things done. When I get up a little earlier than I need to I am able to do all of my social media content before getting ready for work. It just keeps me from having to worry about it later.
2. Brain dump.
I really enjoy doing a brain dump everyday. It allows me to write down ideas and work through anything going on that I need to keep up with. It also allows me to clear my head so I can actually focus on the things I need to get done. Doing a brain dump before I go to bed also helps me sleep better.
3. Calendar block.
I love using Google Calendar because it allows me to schedule literally everything I need to do. From my work schedule to my blogging schedule, I put everything in my calendar. Not only does it keep me from forgetting things, but it also allows me to make sure I am not over scheduling myself.
4. Write down what I am grateful for.
I think gratitude is extremely important and it’s something I really strive to do everyday. I like to write down in my journal everything I am grateful for everyday. It keeps me positive and reminds me of all of my blessings. It is something I recommend everyone to start doing.
5. Read my Bible.
I haven’t always kept up with reading my Bible as much as I would like to, so this year I really want to make it a habit and start doing it everyday. I think it will really help me not only know that I am doing something I want to do, but it will hopefully inspire me and help me live a better life.
I write everyday. From blog posts to writing and planning new ideas, I write everyday. It is one of my absolute favorite things to do. When I start writing I enter my own little world and it’s a great distraction from some of the reality that I have. So writing everyday is a must.
7. Work out.
Even if it’s just a 15 minute work out, I like to get my heart beating and my blood flowing. It’s a great way to make sure that I am doing something and that I am working my body the way it needs to be worked. I love knowing that I am accomplishing something like that everyday. If I do it everyday I am less likely to go weeks without doing it.
Aside from reading my Bible, I like to read other books as well. I love reading personal development books that can help me get my life on the track I want to be on. But I also like to read fiction and other books that I can just enjoy and relax a little bit. Reading is something I really want to do more of.
9. Drink water.
In 2019 I really made an effort to drink more water and I believe that I accomplished that. So in 2020 I am going even farther and trying to make water what I drink throughout most of the day. It starts with always having a water bottle and carrying it with me everywhere.
10. Post on social media.
I am really trying hard to get better at social media this year. So I am making a huge effort to post on social media at least once a day. It’s a great way to promote my content and interact with you guys. So this year I am really stepping up my game and posting as much as possible.
