What You Need To Know Before You Follow Your Passion

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am back to talk to you about your passion. If you don’t know what your passion is, that’s okay because maybe this will help you find your passion or take the necessary steps to get there. But if you do know what your passion is and you are ready to follow it and see it through then keep reading because I have some tips for you.

The first thing that I think is absolutely essential to know is that your passion does not have to be your job. If it is, that’s great, but it’s not necessary. Your passion could be a hobby, a side business, or anything else that you deem to be your passion. So just keep in mind if you haven’t figured out your passion that it does not have to be your job.

So the thing about your passion that fails most people is the fact that they think their passion has to look like someone else’s. I spent the first year of my blogging journey thinking my blog had to look a certain way, that I had to post a certain number of times, and my posts had to have a certain word count. But I quickly realized that it just wasn’t cutting it. Even though I was doing everything everyone else seemed to be doing it wasn’t really working for me.

So my tip for you if you are ready to take on your passion and go full speed ahead is to create something. Create something that is yours. Take your idea and create it in a way that speaks to you and who you are. It is a representation of who you are and your personality. So create something that speaks volumes of who you are. Don’t try to fit the mold that others have left behind. Everyone has to start at the beginning, so you might as well start by just being you.

There are going to be times when you are following your passion that it gets tough. There are going to be times when you question what you are doing and if you should keep going. It’s normal. However, the thing that will set you apart from others is if you don’t give up. You have to keep going and work through the tough times. You won’t wake up one day and just be successful. It takes time, patience, hard work, and consistency to get to the level of success that you want to be at. So you can’t give up.

Your passion is something that you love, that you create, and that you find a way to make your own. If blogging is your passion you have to create something that means something to you. Are there millions of blogs in the world? Absolutely. That’s why you have to create something that is authentic to who you are. There is no point in creating a blog if it doesn’t say something about you and what you have to say. And that is the same for any passion that you might have.

I have changed my blog quite a bit over the years. I started out just writing whatever came to me and whatever I felt like saying. Now I write content that I think will help and inspire people to be their best selves. I went from focusing on myself to hopefully helping other people. I created a personal brand from my website and social media and I am connected to so many people that I otherwise wouldn’t have come in contact with.

Is blogging everyday easy? No. But it is always worth it to me. I love creating content and writing and sharing my life and my journey with you guys. Without this I would spend a lot of time doing absolutely nothing. So when it comes to your passion you just have to make sure it’s something that you love and that you want to devote time to. Don’t worry about getting validation from other people. Focus on yourself and what you want. Allow yourself to have something just for you.
