Relaxing Night Routine 2020

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am here to share with you my relaxing night routine. These are the things I do on the nights when I need a little more self care and more relaxation. I also do my regular night routine, so a little of that will also be mentioned in here. But these are the things I do when I really need that time and I need let go of some stress and tension.

Journal.

One of the first things I do as a part of any night routine is write in my journal. I recently got a new journal called “The 100-Day Goal Journal”. I am super excited about it because hopefully it will help me focus on my goals more and keep up with everything that I want to accomplish.

Write tomorrow’s to-do list.

Planning is something that really relaxes me because it helps me stress less and helps me keep up with everything that I need and want to do. So I like to take a few minutes to just write out the big things I need to do and get them scheduled in my calendar that way I know what I will be doing and what I don’t need to worry about.

Take a relaxing bath.

After a long day of work or a long week of work, on the nights that I am wanting to relax and pamper myself a little bit I like to take a nice, warm, relaxing bath. It helps calm me and gets me in a much better head space. I just find that I sleep better at night after I have done this and really relaxed a little bit.

Stretching.

I have never really been into yoga or meditation that much, but I do like to do some simple stretches before bed. It just helps me relax and let go of some of the tension that I feel I am holding in. I don’t want to do a heavy work out or anything because I don’t want to get too worked up, but stretching is more calm and relaxing.

Read.

And finally after a long day and all the relaxing that comes after that, there is nothing quite like settling in with a good book. I have gotten more into reading again lately and it is honestly one of my favorite things to do most nights. I really look forward to reading a few chapters right before bed.
