Remember These Ten Things When Life Gets Hard

Hey guys! Welcome back. We all go through difficult times. We all have struggles and we have times when we don’t feel like we are doing our best. And that doesn’t mean that those times aren’t important or feeling bad isn’t valid because it is. But what we have to know is that these things happen. Nothing lasts forever and we go through different stages of life. So today I thought I would take some time to share with you some things to remember if you are going through one of the harder times in your life.

1. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

There have been many times in my life where I couldn’t see the light. I couldn’t believe that there was something good on the other side of what I was going through. And even though I couldn’t see it at the time, I always got to that light. So if you are struggling and your life is not going as planned right now, just remember that the light is there.

2. Every challenge is a learning opportunity.

Every struggle you face, every mountain you climb, every time you fail there is always something to be taken away from that. There is always something you can learn from every situation. So if you are going through something right now, take some time to reflect and figure out what you want to take away from that. Maybe you figure out that whatever it is isn’t for you. Or maybe you get a new idea for something else. Whatever it is, don’t just give up. Figure out what you can take away from it to be better in the future.

3. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

I used to think that I had to have my whole life figured out and I had to follow a plan and I had to stay on one path. I thought to be successful I had to know exactly what I was doing and it had to make sense to everyone else. But as I went through college I realized I don’t have to have everything figured out. I’m not always going to be perfect at everything I try. I’m going to change my mind. Life is going to happen. So just know that you don’t have to have it all figured out either. It’s okay to change your mind and take different paths.

4. Change is just a part of life.

This isn’t something that a lot of people like hearing, but it’s true. Change is a part of life. Not all change is good, but not all change is bad. Your life will take you to situations, opportunities, and possibilities you never thought possible. So learning to embrace the change will help you so much more than you know.

5. Failure isn’t a bad thing.

Like I said earlier, you aren’t going to be perfect at every single thing you try. You will fail sometimes. You will come short. But failing means you tried and it just didn’t work out. And that’s better than never trying at all. Failure isn’t a bad thing because it allows you to learn more about yourself and move forward from that. Whether you learn that it isn’t for you or that you should try again later, don’t be afraid of failure.

6. Anything worth having isn’t easy.

The best things in life aren’t going to come easily. You have to work and grow and change in order to get those things. Life is going to get hard sometimes, but that’s okay. You just have to keep in mind that if it is something you really want, you are going to have to work for it and work hard.

7. You will pull through.

Sometimes we think it might be easier to just give up. And that would be easier. But it’s not going to get you what you want. Giving up won’t help you. You just have to remember that you will come through on the other side. It’s not going to be easy, but with the right mindset and the willingness to keep going, you can get through whatever you are going through. Just keep moving forward and know that there is good waiting for you on the other side, even if you don’t know what that is yet.

8. It’s okay not to be okay.

We all have bad days. We all struggle. We all have times in our life that are more dark than others. So just remember that if you are feeling down and you are struggling that it’s okay. No one expects you to be perfect all the time and if they do they aren’t a positive part of your life. It’s okay to not feel great all the time. But it’s also important to know when it’s time to pick yourself back up.

9. You are not alone.

I know that people say this all the time and sometimes it’s difficult to believe. But it is really important for you to know that whatever you are going through and whatever stage of life you are in that you are not alone. There are plenty of people who are struggling with maybe not the same exact thing as you, but something similar. And there are plenty of people that you can reach out to if you need to talk about it or if you need some help. Always remember that no matter what, you are not alone.

10. You will never not have problems.

I know this probably doesn’t seem like it’s helping, but it’s important to always keep in mind. There will never be a point in your life where everything will always be perfect all the time. I know a lot of us struggle with waiting until everything is good to do something, but the truth is that time isn’t coming. So it’s a waste of time to just keep waiting. Always know that your life will never be perfect, so start living your life now.
