What To Do If You’re Feeling Lost In Your Twenties

Hey guys! Welcome back. If you are anything like me you know that entering your twenties and starting a new stage in your life can be super overwhelming and it seems like a constant battle. So sometimes you start feeling a little lost and not sure what to do or where to go. So today I wanted to share some things that I have found helpful when I start having those feelings and hopefully this will help you as well.

1. Create your timeline.

Your life may not follow one path forever, but sometimes it’s good to sit down and see what you would like your life to look like in the future. This will help you know what you are planning for and what you need to be working for. Things may not turn out exactly like you think, but they are more likely to happen if you have a vision and create steps on how to get there.

2. Focus on now and take one step at a time.

Once you have a basic timeline it’s important to start going at a steady pace to reach those goals. Don’t try to accomplish everything at once because it’s not likely to happen that way. Just focus on what you can do today to take steps forward and work towards reaching your goals. Whether it’s something small or something big, just focus on where you are right now and worry about the rest of it later.

3. Decide what YOU want.

It’s really easy to fall into the trap of listening to everyone else and taking their advice. It’s easy to give in because you think it’s easier than trying to explain your decisions to everyone else. But at the end of the day, that’s not really going to help you. You need to decide what you want and then start making the necessary decisions that will help you get there.

4. Create goals and break them into smaller steps.

Having goals is important and can get you on the right path. However, it’s also a good idea to break down those goals into small steps that you can put on your to-do list. This will help keep you focused and driven so you don’t lose sight of what you are doing and what you are working towards. It’s best to break things down into the smallest pieces that you can so you can manage them easier.

5. Focus on building core skills.

If you are feeling lost you might just take some time to learn some new skills. Having these skills will help you see what you are good at, what you aren’t good at, what you enjoy, and what you don’t enjoy. This can help provide you with some direction and help you discover more about who you are and what you want out of life. You never know where learning basic skills might take you.
