Healthy Morning Habits, Time With My Boyfriend, And Gratitude

Hey guys! Welcome back. I am here today to try something a little bit new. If you have been around for a while you know that every Sunday I share a weekly recap. And in that recap I basically share with you the big moments from my week and update you on anything that I feel necessary. Well today I figured I would do something similar, but instead of sharing the big things (you can see that on Sunday), I figured I would share a few of the smaller things. These are things that have been on my mind lately and I thought it would be fun to share them with you.

So as you can tell by the title, the first thing I’m going to be talking about is healthy morning habits. It’s no secret that I have shared my morning routines in the past, but in full transparency I don’t always get up in time to do my full routine. So I wanted to share the things I make sure I do every morning no matter what. So I know I need to be up at least in enough time to make sure I get these things done. And really most of them don’t take that long, so it’s pretty easy to accomplish no matter how much time I have, or don’t have if I sleep too long.

So the first thing I make sure I do every morning is drink water. I don’t feel as good or as energized if I don’t drink water in the morning. It is something that I have been really trying to get better at and make sure that I do as much as possible. I also like doing stretches in the morning because it helps loosen my body and gets me ready to start my day. If I have enough time I also do my workout in the morning because I know after work I definitely will not want to do it.

I like to make sure I write a list of things I need to do that day. Sometimes the list is longer than others. It just depends on what I have going on. But having this list helps me know exactly what I have going on and what I need to be planning for that day. After that I like to eat breakfast because going to work hungry is no fun. Also it helps me not snack as much later on. And the last morning habit I make sure I keep up with is writing in my journals. I have a few separate ones that I write in and it just keeps me organized and focused on one thing at a time. So those are the healthy morning habits that I do my best to get accomplished every morning.

So the next thing I want to talk about is the time I had with my boyfriend the other day. We had a very deep conversation and while I won’t be sharing any details from that conversation I wanted to share with you how much I am glad that I decided to be very open and vulnerable. It’s not always easy for me to communicate with other people and share my thoughts and feelings. But being able to do that and have that time together was super important to me and our relationship. This is by far one of the best relationships (both platonic and romantic) that I have ever had and I am super excited to see where things go from here.

Having these deeper and more serious conversations is definitely very scary for me. But I am starting to get better and I wanted to share that with you. Because I know there are many of you who struggle in the same ways that I do and I wanted to share with you that I am working on it and you can too. It is scary and difficult and I don’t know if that will ever go away, but I am facing my fears and I encourage you to do the same. Nothing worth having in life comes easy and I truly believe that it’s worth it to face those challenges with the right person.

So the last thing I am going to share in this post today is all about gratitude. I have started trying to be more grateful lately and really focus on all the good and positive in my life instead of the negative. So in one of my journals I like to write a list of things that I am grateful for that day. It helps me remember that I have so much in my life and so much going for me. So while it’s easy to see when things aren’t going my way, I really try to remember that things will always work out the way they are supposed to and that I have so much to be thankful for.

And one thing that I am always grateful for no matter what is going on or what I am dealing with that day is all of you. Without you none of this would be possible. From you simply reading what I have to say to sharing all of your kind words and comments, I can’t thank you enough for being by my side through this journey. When I started all of this I was just doing it for me, but now I can honestly say that I’m doing it for all of us. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and sticking by me through all the ups and downs.
