Hey guys! Welcome back. Anyone who is self-sufficient knows the long road it takes to have that kind of stamina and independence. So today I wanted to share some things that you can relate to if you also identify as a self-sufficient woman. And if you aren’t sure, maybe this list will help you figure out if you are. If you relate to these things, you are most likely a self-sufficient woman.
1. Being a self-sufficient woman is not always a choice.
We don’t always get to choose what life hands us. We don’t always get to choose what happens. And sometimes that forces us to figure things out on our own and learn to be more independent. So being a self-sufficient woman usually isn’t something you choose, it’s something you just have to do.
2. She has her priorities straight.
Any self-sufficient woman has her priorities in line, at least for the most part. She understands what she needs to focus on and what things aren’t worth stressing out about. She knows what is important to her and that’s what she keeps up with the most. She doesn’t spend a lot of time worrying about other things.
3. She knows it’s not selfish to put herself first.
Sometimes we don’t always do what’s best for ourselves because we are too worried about other people and what they want and need. And while it’s good to think of other people, it’s also important to remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Self-sufficient women understand the importance of putting themselves first.
4. It’s hard to find a partner who can appreciate her independence.
When it comes to dating and finding a good partner, this is one area where being a self-sufficient woman can have a drawback. Finding someone who can appreciate and handle your independence can be pretty difficult at times. But because you have that independence you don’t find yourself needing someone else.
5. She is not waiting for someone to save her.
Going off of that last point, you aren’t waiting around for someone to come rescue you. You know how to take care of yourself, you have a decent idea of where you are heading, and you aren’t expecting anyone to come “complete you”. You know that you are complete and more than capable all on your own.
6. No one can take anything from her.
Self-sufficient women work for what they have. They don’t want anyone to be able to say, “You wouldn’t have that if it weren’t for me.” They also appreciate what they have because they don’t have things handed to them. They work really hard to have what they want and they know what it took to get there.
