Getting My Life Together, What I’m Currently Reading, And A Chat

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to do a little update. It’s not going to be a super long one as I will be sharing my weekly recap tomorrow. But I did want to come on here and just talk about a few things. First I am going to talk about a few things that I am doing to get things figured out in my life. Some big things are coming that I need to be prepared for. I will also be sharing what I am reading right now in case anyone is looking for a good book to pick up, and I will be ending with just a little chat of some other things going on.

So currently I am planning for a few big life changes. One of those is that I am currently trying to plan to move into a place of my own. It is something that I have been planning to do for a few months now. So I am trying to get ready physically and financially. And hopefully within the next couple of months I can do that. I also have some things coming up in my relationship that I think is important to be financially ready for. So all the free time I have goes into planning for that.

I have made it a point to share less of what my plans are and more of what my accomplishments are. Because a plan is nothing if there is no action. So part of me getting my life together is remembering that I don’t need the approval and validation of others in order for me to succeed in what I want to do. I need to get organized and stop procrastinating and just start getting things done.

I have many goals that I want to accomplish and thankfully I have started taking steps to reach those goals. It’s helpful if I can break them down into short-term and long-term goals and then focus on one thing at a time. I have started working on focusing on my goals and making sure I am taking necessary steps to actually reaching them. Am I perfect? No. But I can at least give my best effort.

I am also working on building better relationships and cutting out the people who don’t need to be in my life. I need to cut out as much negativity as I can so I can focus on the people who are caring and want me to succeed. Those are the kinds of people I need in my life and who deserve my full and undivided attention. I am also focusing on taking better care of myself, both mentally and physically. It’s important that I prioritize myself and do what is best for me.

So that is how I am working towards getting my life together. It’s a lot and it’s taking a lot of time and effort, but I fully believe that it will be worth it. And another way that I am working towards getting my life together and bettering myself is by reading. And that is why today I wanted to share with you the book I am reading right now. I will be doing a book review when I finish (either on here or on the podcast coming soon). But I do want to share it with you now so you can pick it up if you are interested.

The book I am currently reading is Fail Until You Don’t: Fight. Grind. Repeat. by Bobby Bones. If you have been around for a while you know that I have been a huge fan of Bobby for about six or seven months now. I started listening to his morning show in late August/early September and I absolutely love it. So I knew I wanted to read his books. In the book he talks about using failure as a tool and how it leads to success. So far I am really enjoying it and I think it’s worth picking up if you need a good motivational book.

And now to end things, I wanted to have a little chat. Because I know things are pretty scary right now and we just don’t know what is coming in the future. So I wanted to take this opportunity to just say thank you to everyone who has supported me. I started blogging almost three years ago because I wanted something to pass the time. I love writing and I wanted to be able to document my life and talk about the things I love. And now I get to share so much with all of you and I really appreciate it.

Without your love and support I wouldn’t be as successful as I am and I just wanted to take some time to thank you from the bottom of my heart. And as life goes on and I continue to experience and learn new things, I will continue to share them with you as long as you are interested. So let’s hope we get through this scary time and come out on the other side closer and more loving than we have been in the past. Because if we can get through this, we can get through anything.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments anything positive that has happened in your life this week. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you for the next one!

  1. Sounds like you have everything on track! You even sound happy and strong mentioning … that’s amazing!! You are gonna go far with it!! You sound like you have drive and sound pretty smart too.

My week was good… got to breathe and take a break from what normally is a crazy life… I got to be with my daughter and soak up time with her … she is 13 … her own life is starting to begin so I wouldn’t normally have these moments – I cherish them so much!!!

And then tonight – I got to socialize with my boys too – they came over to have dinner with us and spend some time – Friday nights are always family nights ❤️ also cherish that a lot!!

We have all been in complete isolation so was really awesome – I have moments to slow down and take breaths … and have my children before they all are too grown up ❤️❤️❤️ I want to freeze time with them always!!!

So besides the virus – I kinda had a good week ❤️ … we are all doing well and are healthy… and got moments together ❤️

    Stay safe and well ✌️
