Spring Cleaning Tips

Hey guys! Welcome back. I know a lot of people are stuck in quarantine right now and itching for something to do. So Spring cleaning is a big thing right now. And today I wanted to share some tips with you that I personally use when I am deep cleaning and organizing. This is how I stay efficient and effective throughout the process.

Focus on one thing at a time.

It can be easy to get distracted and want to move on to another part of the house, but I find it’s best to just focus on one room or one area at a time. You get through things a lot quicker and it turns out a lot better if you just do one thing at a time. Don’t try to wash the dishes, vacuum the floor, and scrub out the bathtub all at the same time. Just do one thing at a time.

Organize and clear the clutter.

This may go without saying, but this is the best time to get rid of any clutter you have around the house. Whether it’s old papers, clothes you don’t wear anymore, or things you just don’t use at all, start clearing things out so your space looks cleaner and more put together. It’s time to let go of all the things you don’t really need so you can focus more on what you do.

Take care of the things you don’t do often.

From cleaning the refrigerator out completely to giving the carpets a good cleaning, take this time to really take care of the chores around the house that you do don’t do often enough. This will take care of those things and also help you feel a lot better knowing they are out of the way. Take care of the big chores that don’t need to be done regularly or that you just forget to do.

Use a minimal amount of cleaning products.

When you go to the store you might be overwhelmed by all the cleaning products that you have available to you (before the coronavirus and everyone bought everything). But you really don’t need every product that they make. You just need the things you think are best for the jobs you need to get done. Also, you don’t want to be trying to carry all those products around and then store them when you are finished cleaning.

Adapt a cleaning schedule to use for the rest of the year!

One you have finished all the cleaning that you can do, take some time to sit down and create a cleaning schedule that works for you. It will not only make your life easier right now, but it will also make next year’s Spring cleaning a lot easier since we will hopefully be out of quarantine and your life gets super busy again. Find what works for you and then use it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your favorite Spring cleaning tips are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
