Hey guys! Welcome back. This is going up much later than I would have liked, but I am finally getting around to getting this up. It is officially May, which means it is time for me to share my favorites from last month and the goals I have set for myself this month. So if you are interested in any of that, just keep reading.
April 2020 Favorites:
Covergirl True Blend Hydrating Foundation: This was definitely a huge favorite this month. I love the way this foundation wears throughout the day and how it looks overall. It feels great, looks great, and it’s super affordable. So I really can’t ask more from a foundation. Highly recommend this product.
Covergirl True Blend Concealer: This is a super full coverage concealer, but it’s not super matte like I thought it would be. I mean it is definitely on the more matte end of the range, but it’s not overly drying like some matte concealers tend to be on my under eyes. It’s also really affordable which is always a plus.
Too Faced Natural Face Palette: Some of you may know I have wanted this for years, and now that I finally have it I absolutely love. It makes me so happy and I can’t wait to use it during the warmer months because it is absolutely perfect. It has great pigment, great blendability, and the shades are phenomenal.
It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream Moisturizer: Since we have to wear masks at work everyday now, I haven’t been doing my makeup most days. Just because people don’t really see most of my face and it rubs off on the mask anyway. So I throw this on and some mascara and feel just as good heading out the door. Huge time saver!
Jaclyn Hill X Morphe Volume II Palette: It’s no real secret that I love the original palette, but when this one launched I wasn’t sure if I would love it because I’m not really a colorful eyeshadow person. But the more I use this, the more I love it. It’s so perfect for Spring and Summer because of the bright and bold shades.
Good Girls: Moving into non-beauty related favorites, I have been loving Good Girls. The first two seasons are on Netflix right now and this is such a good show. It is like a crime-comedy, which I wasn’t sure about, but once I got into it I loved it. I can’t recommend this more if you are looking for something good to watch.
New Clothes: I don’t update my wardrobe very often, but when I get the itch to buy some new clothes, I just can’t resist. This month I bought so many new clothing items and I am so excited about them. And I know I will probably make more clothing purchases in May, so go follow me on Instagram to check out my new outfits!
Reading: I have loved reading pretty much my entire life. And it’s something I really want to prioritize now more than ever. I love reading all kinds of books, but I also have loved reading blogs, articles, and so many other things in the month of April. I love reading pretty much anything.
Podcasting: I got back into podcasting this month and I really love. I know I missed an episode last week, but that because I was sick. Hopefully this week I can get back into and get an episode up for you guys to listen to. But if you haven’t listened to previous episodes you can search “Learning To Be Limitless” wherever you listen to podcasts.
Kind People: Working at a grocery store, I can’t tell you the amount of rude, ungrateful, and just mean people that we deal with on a daily basis. Whether it is in person or on the phone, it’s just insane. So the kind people are always noticed and it really does make a difference in my day.
May 2020 Goals:
1. Get back into workouts.
When I was sick I definitely was not doing any kind of workouts, so now that I am starting to recover I really want to get back into it. It’s so helpful for not only my physical health, but also my mental health. It’s just a great thing for me overall and I can’t wait to get back into it.
2. Read at least one book all the way through.
I have this problem where I start books, but never actually finish them. So this month I really want to get all the way through a book. It’s not because the books are bad or I don’t enjoy them, I just have a short attention span so I don’t stick with a book all the way to the end. Hopefully this will be my month.
3. Post more on Instagram.
I am not the greatest at Instagram, but I really want to get better at it. I’m on Instagram a lot anyway, so I might as well put up some content. But I love connecting and interacting with you guys, so go follow me on Instagram if you want to see more of my daily life and how things are going.
4. Get ahead on blog content.
If there is anything I have learned over the past week it is that I really need to be more prepared. So I am trying very hard to get ahead and plan out content ahead of time. I used to be really good about this, but over the past few months I let it keep falling until the last minute and I shouldn’t have done that.
5. Continue podcasting.
I am so excited about the podcast and everything I have planned in terms of content for you guys. It’s going to be a fun month and I can’t wait to share it all with you. I really hope that you love listening as much as I love creating it. Hopefully after this week I can get back on track and stay on track.
