How I Start My Week Off Right

Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great weekend! Today I wanted to share how I use Monday to get a good grasp on the week and stay ahead. Mondays and Fridays are my days off, so I use Monday to get the work done that I need to and Friday to relax more and take time for myself. So today I will be sharing what I do every Monday to make sure I am prepared for the week ahead. If you would like to know more about my Friday routine let me know in the comments. But for now, here is what I do every Monday.

Sleep In.

I like sleeping in on my days off. I never set an alarm. I just let myself wake up when I’m ready. It is usually the same time that I wake up anyway, but I can lay in bed and not get up until I’m ready. I like to have that time to rest and just relax for a little bit before I get up and start my day.

Shower.

I shower other days too, but on Monday I spend a bit more time in the shower. I do a hair mask and exfoliate my body. I take time to really pamper myself in the shower. It just makes me feel good and it’s nice to take some time just for me. Sometimes I will even listen to music or a podcast while I’m in the shower.

Eat Breakfast.

I like making myself breakfast on my days off because I don’t really have time on the other days. I love cooking and being able to eat really good meals, so having a good breakfast on Monday morning is something I really look forward to. It also gives me the energy I need to move forward with the rest of my day.

Film Video.

I try to post videos every Monday and Friday at least, so once I have had my breakfast I like to sit down and film a video. I usually don’t get it up right away depending on how much work needs to be done to it, but I try to get the video up as soon as possible. It’s one thing off my list.

Prewrite.

I prewrite as many blog posts as I can on Monday because it just prepares me for the week ahead. I try to edit and get as many scheduled as I can as well because then I know there will be content for a few days. I don’t always have the energy after work, so being prepared is always a good thing.

Podcast Update.

Monday afternoons are spent planning podcast episodes, recording episodes, editing episodes, and there is always an episode that goes up on Monday. So Monday afternoon is spent working on the podcast in some form or fashion. I like to be as prepared for this as possible as well.
